京都大学｜オンライン公開講義 立ち止まって考える - Let Us Rethink Radically
ACC Tokyo Creativity AwardsとPRアワードでシルバー賞をダブル受賞。Withコロナ時代にどう生きるか。様々なものごとの捉え方がパラダイムシフトする今、考える「座標軸」を得たいーー。そんな切実な社会のニーズをくみとり、京都大学はオンライン講座「立ち止まって、考える」を緊急開講。本プロジェクトの企画・プロデュース・クリエイティブディレクションを手掛けた。
このシリーズでは、京都大学が誇る「人文社会科学」の知を社会へ開放。哲学、倫理学、人類学、文化心理学、認知神経科学、映画学など、多様な専門分野を持つ全11名の教授陣が、それぞれ1時間程度のオンライン講義を実施した。
講義はYouTubeライブ、Twitterライブを通じてリアルタイム配信され、「誰でも・申し込みなしに・無料で」視聴可能に。さらにコメント機能を通じて教授と視聴者が対話する質疑応答も実現し、一方的な配信ではない「双方向の学びの場」を作り上げた。
「役に立たない」と言われがちな人文学が、危機においてこそ「生きる指針」になることを証明した本施策は大きな話題となり、開始当初の2日間合計で1万5600人がリアルタイムで参加。開始から45日間でアーカイブ再生回数は23万回を突破した。ハフポスト、毎日新聞、共同通信など119メディアに取り上げられ、Twitterでは2346万人にリーチ。オンライン講義に関するツイートが1万9千回投稿されるなど、大学教育のDX（デジタルトランスフォーメーション）と社会貢献の新しいモデルケースとなった。[Social Sculptor] [Living Textbook] [Techno-Humanist]
Amid the unprecedented crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020, Japan declared a state of emergency, forcing schools nationwide to close. To provide society with a "coordinate axis" for thinking during these uncertain times, Kyoto University launched the online public lecture series, "Let Us Rethink Radically" (Stop and Think).
Focusing on "Humanities and Social Sciences," 11 renowned professors from Kyoto University held online lectures via live streaming on YouTube and Twitter. The topics ranged from Philosophy and Ethics to Anthropology and Cognitive Neuroscience.
Breaking down the walls of the ivory tower, participation was open to everyone—free of charge, with no registration required. Utilizing YouTube's live chat function, the lectures were conducted in an interactive style, fostering active discussions between academics and the general public about life under the pandemic.
This project successfully updated the concept of university education. In the first two days alone, 15,600 people participated in real-time. Within 45 days, archived videos surpassed 230,000 views. The initiative was featured in 119 media outlets and reached 23.46 million users on Twitter, proving the critical value of the humanities in times of crisis.
